Doing a little bit of catch up

Well lets start off with Halloween. Kevin and Emma dress up the same... Can you guess what they were? Of course we had a Trunk or Treat/ rained alittle bit which meant go inside and sit in a big circle, and get candy. Kevin was so cute with Emma. Every time some one would give them candy he would have Emma bow. They were so funny. There were some really good costumes.

Then came my Birthday. It was great, Kevin and I headed up to SLC to watch Good Things Utah. I always have my picture taken when I am with them. I think that they are really funny. And I love the show.

After that we headed home and went shopping for my Bday gift. I got a Bosch dishwasher. I love it. It actually cleans my dishes and is really quiet. Thanks honey.

Time has now passed and it is time to get that yard taken care of. So we went out and started to rake and make big piles of leaves for the kids to jump in. It was so fun to watch Emma "experience jumping in the leaves for the first time". She was having so much fun with the girls.

Her face says it all.
As for the present. I am home and it feels good. Now I just have to get into the swing of things here. I get to get ready for scouts. I am the new Bear Den leader for our ward. We meet with the 9th ward. Some really cute boys. I just hope that I will be a good leader.
Now for you Debbie F. I hope you have noticed that I have done some new things with my blog. Music and some things on the side. ( I had help from my friend Holly) Thanks Holly. But guess what I still need some help. Maybe I should come down for the day and have you help me. Does this not sound like a cry for help? It is. I know I have no shame. Plus, I have some pics for you. Leave me a comment so I know that you where here. I LOVE reading the comments. Wait, I hardly get any so that doesn't take long. Well I really need to get off of this computer, and go do my scouting duty.

I am suppose to be writing something

I know that I am suppose to write on this thing but, lately I don't really have anything to say. Life is going on. Wait I changed my mind. I do have something to say. I will tell you what I am doing right now. I am in Idaho, at our cabin. Alone. I know that might seem boring to some of you but I love it. I have been able to work on some things that I can not seem to get myself to do at home. I have finished 5 aprons, cut and organized 5 purses that I want to make for gifts. I also want to get 5 scrapbook pages done. Don't know if that will happen. I have the stuff, just need to get my mojo back. It is lost and I have no idea where it went. I'll keep looking, it could be under a rock. Not sure. One thing I do know for sure is that I miss my family , Sounds kind of weird, Guess it is, but I miss them but I also needed some alone time. Enough about me. Just a side note, I would post pictures but my computer won't download pictures right now. Hopefully this is something that can be fixed. Well by for now,

Ok, just a quick note. It is late and I am tired. When I get some time this weekend (probable on Sunday) I will download my pictures off my camera, and I will write something. Not sure if it will be meaningful, but maybe a little informative? This is for you Debbie F. And to the rest of my peeps, Dinner was wonderful! Good night for now.

It's been a while, yes?

About my apron swapp , my partner did recive it. She said she love it. Her name is Heidi from Or. So glad about that. I had Kira model it for me. Here is one side. And here is the other side. She said her favorit color is Kelly green. And we needed it to be a fall apron. So I picked some apple fabric. Added some white rick rack. I thought it turned out so cute.

As to why I haven't blogged, and it has been a while, and where have I been? Really, no where, but here. but very busy. Busy with RS Super Saturday. It's busy , but a good busy. It is this Saturday. I hope it goes well. But will be glad when it is over. Feel like alot of responsibility. Don't want to forget anything. I have had some really good help. Thankful for Tasha, and her willingness to be of service to me. I will try to take pictures. Because I am to lazy to blog about it all. I need to get going and run more errands.

Concering apron swapp

to my partner, it is coming, I promise.

Sorry so slow, but much to ramble about

Ok to my Apron swapp partner. It is coming. Your package is really being sent. This apron thing is .... is .... turning out to be really hard for me. I thought that when I signed up for it, it was going to be a good thing. Fun. A good challenge. A good thing for me. I strugel with getting things out in the mail. I don't know why, I just do. I was wanting so much to get back into somthing that I loved. And I use to really love to sew. And I was pretty good. I made my own clothes, my husbands clothes, my children's clothes. I did altrations for people. Made wedding dresses for friends, bridsmaid dresses. Costuming for a song/dance group. Then I quit. Just couldn't do it any more So I thought this would help me get my mojo back. Really how hard could an apron be? I had already made several. but this one included extra stuff. Not really hard extra stuff. but making it for someone I had never met, and I wanted to put "her" into it (faviote colors) and hope that "she" would like it. So now you know it is coming. And I hope that you really like it. I am very happy with how it turned out.

Now for the record, here is how the month went Too many things happened this past month. I decided to get started with my apron swapp the first week of Aug. I went shopping. I found what I thought would be a good match for my partner. But I needed a contrast fabric and ended up finding some it in Idaho. I live in Utah. I thought that I bought enough. (I didn't) ( I found this out way later). I got my sewing machine out. It sat for about 10 days, DID NOT touch it. Almost every day I would think I am going to sew today. I didn't. My oldest daughter was hoping that we would work on the quite book that we are making for Emma. We didn't even get that done. So I moved it back to my Dryer for a nice sunday dinner. Then School started here in the middle of Aug. Then my husband got a new calling for our church. We had to keep it a secret. It was a big deal. We weren't sure what or why we had to go and see the Stake President. We did have ideas. But what came out of his mouth made us both speachless. So from the time we had the appointment until the call was made at church was a total of 3 weeks. The last week was a very good one actually. A lot of talk and prayer happened. Kevin was called to be our Ward bishop. Kevin traveled to Idaho so he could have mom and dad Turpin here. That was very special. Here he is with his Parents. Zola and Lavar Turpin. It was really a special day.

Also, my friend Tamera came home and I got to spend some time with her. She had a wedding, and many people who needed to see her and talk to her. I miss her something awful. What a great friend. She and her husband are living in Paraway serving as Mission President. They only have until the end of June 2009. Can't wait for next summer. Here is a picture of her and me at Bryan's wedding reception.

I was just so happy to help her out. Kindra and Kira, and neighbor Makayla helped serve pie. I just realized I didn't get any pictures of them that night. They were really cute. I was so sad at saying goodbye. But it won't be that much longer before they are back. Love and miss you Tamera.
